GPA Racing Dominates Nogaro and Makes an Exceptional Start to the Season

For the opening round of the 2026 Clio Cup Series season, GPA Racing delivered an outstanding performance at the Circuit Paul Armagnac in Nogaro. During the traditional Easter Cups, the team set the pace from qualifying onwards before securing two victories and two 1-2-3 finishes in two highly competitive races.

Two Pole Positions to Start the Weekend

GPA Racing immediately made its ambitions clear during qualifying. With two pole positions and a constant presence at the front of the field, the team quickly established itself as the benchmark of the opening round of the season.

The first race confirmed this dominance with a GPA Racing 1-2-3 finish. Alexandre Finkelstein claimed victory after a controlled performance, ahead of Damiano Puccetti and David Pouget. An outstanding result for the French driver, who secured his first victory of the season on home soil.

Damiano Puccetti Claims Victory After a Spectacular Finale

The second race delivered another success for GPA Racing. Following an intense battle, Damiano Puccetti took victory ahead of Alexandre Finkelstein after an incredibly close final sprint.

The two drivers were separated by just three thousandths of a second at the finish line. A spectacular finish that saw Damiano Puccetti claim his second Clio Cup Series victory.

Once again, GPA Racing completed a 1-2-3 finish, with Alexandre Finkelstein and David Pouget joining him on the podium. By winning both races of the weekend and placing three of its drivers on each podium, the team delivered a truly flawless performance at Nogaro.

GPA Racing Takes the Lead in the Championship

Following the opening meeting, Alexandre Finkelstein and Damiano Puccetti leave Nogaro tied at the top of the overall standings, with one victory and one second-place finish each. David Pouget completes this strong start to the season in third position in the championship.

GPA Racing also takes the lead in the teams' championship, while Damiano Puccetti sits at the top of the Junior category.

With two pole positions, two victories and two 1-2-3 finishes, GPA Racing could not have dreamed of a better start to the season. This outstanding team performance confirms the squad's ambitions for the 2026 Clio Cup Series season.

The championship now moves on to its next round at Circuit Paul Ricard from 24 to 26 April.
