GPA Racing confirms its dominance at Le Castellet

Three weeks after an outstanding season opener at Nogaro, GPA Racing continued its strong form at Circuit Paul Ricard for the second round of the 2026 Clio Cup Series season. Once again, the French team proved to be a constant force at the front of the field, with a pole position, a victory and multiple podium finishes throughout the weekend.

GPA Racing continues to set the pace

After dominating the opening round at Nogaro, GPA Racing arrived at Le Castellet with high ambitions. The team immediately showed its competitiveness during free practice, with defending champion David Pouget setting the pace before Damiano Puccetti once again delivered a strong qualifying performance.

The Italian driver secured his second consecutive pole position in the Clio Cup Series, confirming GPA Racing's impressive qualifying form at the beginning of the 2026 season.

Alexandre Finkelstein claims another victory for GPA Racing

The opening race of the weekend delivered another success for GPA Racing. Starting from the front of the field, Alexandre Finkelstein fought his way to victory after a fiercely contested race.

The French driver was involved in an intense battle at the front alongside Damiano Puccetti and Gaël Castelli. After taking control of the race, Finkelstein held on through a tense final phase to secure his second victory of the season.

Damiano Puccetti completed the podium in third place, giving GPA Racing another strong result and further confirming the team's competitiveness at the front of the championship.

Nicky Taylor also delivered a remarkable performance, fighting his way through the field to finish fourth, while David Pouget secured a top-five finish. Ben Jenkins completed GPA Racing's strong showing in the top ten.

A hard-fought second race

The second race of the weekend once again saw GPA Racing at the heart of the battle for victory. Damiano Puccetti quickly established himself among the leaders, while Alexandre Finkelstein fought his way back through the field after starting fourth.

The two GPA Racing drivers were once again involved in a spectacular battle for the top positions. In a race marked by intense overtaking and a dramatic final fight for victory, Alexandre Finkelstein and Damiano Puccetti remained firmly in contention until the chequered flag.

Finkelstein ultimately secured third place, while Puccetti finished second, just behind the winner. Nicky Taylor once again delivered a strong performance, finishing fourth, with Ben Jenkins also securing a solid top-ten result.

GPA Racing extends its lead in the championship

With one victory and three podium finishes across the two races, GPA Racing leaves Le Castellet with another highly successful weekend.

Alexandre Finkelstein now leads the Clio Cup Series standings outright, while Damiano Puccetti remains firmly in contention for the overall title and continues to lead the Junior category. GPA Racing also strengthens its position at the top of the teams' championship.

After two rounds, the team has already established itself as the benchmark of the 2026 Clio Cup Series season. With victories, pole positions and consistent performances from its entire line-up, GPA Racing continues to demonstrate the strength of its collective approach.

The championship now heads to Circuit Nevers Magny-Cours from 29 to 31 May, where GPA Racing will once again aim to fight at the front and extend its lead in the teams' standings.
