Magny-Cours : Saturday Report

Clio Cup

Qualification 1 : Our day started with a -very- early Clio Cup qualification which saw David Pouget take pole position with Alex Finkenstein right behind. Alex Albouy had a good session as he set the 4th time of the session.

Horn and Delcroix qualified in 5th and 6th of the brand new racer category. Benjamin Cauvas was ten.

Race 1 : Green lights appeared at 5pm local time and David had a great start from pole while Alex lost P2 to Nicolas Milan. The battle between Nicolas and David was tought but fair. Both wanted to win but in the end David took the chequered flag first. Behind, Alex managed his race from the last podium step with Alex Albouy right behind in P4. Horn ended P4 (RAC), Delcroix in six and Benjamin P11.

GT4

Qualification : Q1 was a bit delayed but it didn't seem to disturb Tom Verdier who had a good pace on a dry and warm track. He set the 7th time of the Pro-Am category. After a 10 minutes break, Baudouin Detout jumped in the car. He will start Sunday race in P11 (Pro-Am).

Race 1 : started in a beautiful sunset with Tom Verdier behind the wheel. A big crash on the first lap brought the safety car for 15 minutes. When pit window opened, Tom was running in P4 (Pro-Am). He stopped at the end of it but a mechanical issue hold Baudouin in the pitlane. From there, race was almost over and we ended P10. Focus on tomorrow.
