Magny-Cours - Sunday Report

Clio Cup :

Qualification 2 : Our Sunday started with a mixed conditions Clio Cup Q2. Pre-grid was fully dry but when the drivers began their timed lap, small drop of rain felt. They had to quickly set a time while the track was dry. It didn’t disturb David Pouget who took pole position with (again) Alex Finkenstein in P2. Despite a strong lap, Alex Albouy started from the back as his best was deleted due to track limits. Benjamin had a small touch with the wall and therefore couldn’t set a set a time. Horn started from P4 (RAC) and Cedric Delcroix P7.

Race 2 : closed our Magny Cours weekend. David and Alex had a great start from P1and P2. David managed to create a decent gap to win a second time in two races. Alex defended his second position for 5 laps but was then overtaken by Nicolas Milan. A second third place for Alex who leaves Magny-Cours happy.

Alex Albouy, who started from second last made a great recovery as he ended P8. Horn, Delcroix and Cauvas finished P4, P5 and P6 of the Racer category.

GT4 :

Race 2 : It rained all morning but the track was dry when Baudouin Detout made his first ever GT4 start from P11 (Pro-Am). After a good start, he was running in P6 but then spun due to a contact with an other car. Tom Verdier jumped behind in the car with 37 minutes to go and crossed the line in P11. Not what we wanted but a wealth of experience gained.
